Then it’s time to experience the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city center. Walk along shopping streets and welcoming terraces. Explore Place Guillaume with the Town Hall and just a step away the Grand Ducal Palace, offering an astonishing setting.
Did you know that some of the first official steps of the European Union were made in Luxembourg? Your next stop: the “Cercle-Cité”, a historical building, hosting the Court of Justice of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) in the 60s.
Our last stop is Constitution Square, with another spectacular view over the valley, and our own “Statue of Liberty” which we call “Gëlle Fra” (golden lady).
The Moselle Region
>> Option 1 - afternoon
Ready to escape the everyday life ? Then join our breathtaking trip to the Moselle region. Experience a journey through the beautiful vineyards of Luxembourg and enjoy the stunning views of the Moselle river.
Not only does the countryside evoke a feeling of being on holidays – so does our first stop in Mondorf-les-Bains. Here, it’s all about relaxation: Mondorf Domaine Thermal provides a vast space dedicated to relaxation, fitness and getting back into shape. We continue to Casino 2000. The location scores with diversity: attractive games and high-quality gastronomy leave no wishes unfulfilled.
Passing by the picturesque hinterland of the Moselle region, we arrive in Schengen, probably the most famous village in the Three Border Region. You will learn why this historical village is a symbol of a borderless Europe before continuing along the Moselle river and its idyllic landscape. En route, thanks to Marie-Astrid & Navitours, learn how to effectively hold a meeting on a ship !
Passing by the vineyards is certainly an experience, but wine tasting is even better…On “Scheierbierg“ you will enjoy the fine Luxembourg wine style with a panoramic view, before heading back into the bustling City.
Red Rock Region
>> Option 2 - afternoon
The Red Rocks, a real witness of Luxembourg’s industrial period !
In the south of Luxembourg, the “Terres Rouges” (Red Rock region) is the emblem of our former steel industry. It owes its name to the vivid red hue of iron ore, and now presents an outstanding landscape. The earlier sites of iron ore extraction have given way to verdant scenery dotted with renovated industrial buildings recalling that vital era in the history of Luxembourg.
Discover Belval – Belval is the site of the large steelwork and today Luxembourg’s showcase in terms of structural change. Due to the dominance of the steelworks, Belval suffered from the abandonment of steel production in Luxembourg. The redevelopment turns the brownfield site into a large scientific and cultural centre, including the University of Luxembourg. But Belval is not only the country’s think tank location: already in 2005 Rockhal, Luxembourg’s largest music venue opened, hosting also large corporate events.
Ascend to the last 2 blast furnaces in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and discover the MICE facilities of Belval, a site which perfectly combines modern architecture with the spirit of the past. Feel the change !
